Who are You Serving?

A profound question indeed!  In this busy world and in a busy city like Atlanta, one can tend to get pre-occupied with their accomplishments.  Where WE want to be…what WE want to do…who WE want to witness our accomplishments.  And, while there is nothing wrong with reaching our goals and full potential, we also need to take the time to recognize that service to others is equally important.  It’s not only the right thing to do; it is necessary to do.

On a day like today, celebrating the Honorable Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are reminded of the great sacrifices he made while in “service”.   He served his family, his community and his country.  His service was so great that he gave his life so that we all could live a better tomorrow.  But for him, service did not start with the Civil Rights Movement.  As a man of God, he knew the importance of service and followed in a Christ-like way.
Shouldn’t we who profess to have a Christ-like mind do the same today, tomorrow and every day?  I’m just saying, because I to have found myself asking today… Who Am I Serving?

Love to you all, and…
Peace and blessings,
Phaedra
